Our Promise to You

Outing360 is built on the belief that Kenya's cultural life deserves a platform that takes trust seriously. These guidelines are not about policing — they are about protecting the experience for everyone.

By creating an account and using Outing360, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent bans, depending on severity. Our moderation team reviews all reports impartially and within 24 hours on business days.

1. Authenticity & Accuracy

Only real events, real people, real details.

Post Only Real, Confirmed Events

Events listed on Outing360 must be real and approved by someone authorized to represent the organizer. Do not post speculative, placeholder, or "to be confirmed" events as live listings. All key details — date, time, venue, price — must be accurate at the time of listing.

Confirmed venue booking, accurate headliner, real ticket price
"Coming soon" listings with no date, venue, or confirmed details
Updating event info promptly if details change
Fabricated lineups or fake venue partnerships to attract interest

Use Your Real Identity

Your profile must represent who you actually are. Impersonating another person, public figure, artist, or organization is strictly prohibited. Organizer accounts must represent the actual entity hosting the event.

Creating a profile for your real organization with accurate contact info
Creating a fake profile pretending to be a well-known artist or promoter
Using a recognized stage name that you're publicly known by
Copying another organizer's branding to mislead attendees

Keep Your Listings Up to Date

If an event is postponed, cancelled, or its details change significantly, you must update your listing immediately. Attendees who discover false information after planning to attend will lose trust in the platform and in you as an organizer. Repeated failure to update listings will result in account review.

2. Respect & Inclusion

Every person on this platform deserves dignity.

Zero Tolerance for Hate Speech

Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against any person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or any other protected characteristic is strictly forbidden on Outing360 — in listings, profiles, reviews, or any other form of communication on the platform.

Celebrating cultural diversity in event themes and messaging
Slurs, dehumanizing language, or calls to discriminate against any group
Event content that respectfully explores social themes
Events that exclude or target people based on identity

No Harassment or Bullying

Outing360 is a community space. Harassing, intimidating, threatening, or bullying other users — whether publicly or through private messages — will result in immediate account suspension. This includes repeated unwanted contact, pile-on attacks, and coordinated attempts to harm a user's reputation.

Honest, Constructive Reviews

Reviews must be based on your genuine experience. Fake reviews — whether positive (paid/incentivized) or negative (coordinated attacks) — undermine the entire review system. Organizers may not ask for or incentivize positive reviews in exchange for rewards, and competitors may not coordinate to leave false negative reviews.

Honest feedback on event quality, venue, and organization
Paying or offering free tickets in exchange for a 5-star review
Flagging safety concerns clearly and factually in a review
Coordinating with others to mass-report or mass-negative-review a competitor

3. Safety & Transactions

Protecting people and their money.

Ticket Sales Must Be Legitimate

If your event requires tickets, you must use a transparent, trusted ticketing process. All ticket prices, refund policies, and terms must be disclosed upfront and honestly. Organizers who collect money for events that do not take place — without providing refunds — will be permanently banned and reported to relevant authorities.

Clear refund policy published before ticket sales open
Collecting ticket payments and cancelling the event without refund
Using a recognized mobile money or payment provider
Requesting payment to untraceable accounts with no receipts

Physical Safety Standards

Events listed on Outing360 must comply with all applicable Kenyan laws and regulations regarding public gatherings. This includes venue capacity limits, required licensing, and health and safety requirements. Organizers who knowingly host unsafe events or violate public order regulations will have their accounts suspended.

No Scams, Phishing, or Fraud

Using Outing360 to run scams, phishing schemes, or any kind of financial fraud is a criminal matter we take extremely seriously. This includes creating fake events to harvest personal information, impersonating Outing360 in messages to collect user credentials, or any other deceptive practice. We will cooperate fully with law enforcement.

4. Content & Media Standards

What you post reflects the whole community.

Images & Banners Must Be Appropriate

All event banners, profile photos, and uploaded media must be high quality, relevant to the event, and suitable for a general audience. Explicit, graphic, sexually suggestive, or violent imagery is not permitted in any public-facing content. You must also own or have rights to all images you upload.

Professional event flyer with artist photo, date, and venue
Images with explicit nudity, graphic violence, or drug paraphernalia
Original photography or images you've licensed for use
Copyrighted images pulled from Google without permission

Descriptions Must Be Accurate and Professional

Event descriptions should clearly communicate what attendees can expect. Misleading descriptions — such as overstating artist lineups, misrepresenting the venue, or hiding age restrictions or ticket conditions — violate our standards. Use clear, honest, and respectful language.

Respect Intellectual Property

Do not post content that infringes on someone else's copyright, trademark, or intellectual property. This includes using another artist's music, artwork, or brand imagery without permission. If you receive a valid copyright complaint about your content, we are required to remove it promptly.

5. Privacy & Data

Respect people's personal information.

Do Not Share Personal Information Without Consent

Sharing another person's private information — home address, phone number, ID details, financial information, or any other personally identifiable data — without their explicit consent is strictly prohibited. This applies to information shared in reviews, comments, or messages.

Photography & Recording at Events

When attending events, respect other attendees' privacy. Do not photograph or record people without their consent, and do not upload images that clearly identify private individuals without their permission. Organizers are responsible for communicating their photography policies to attendees.

6. Artists & Organizer Standards

Elevated responsibility comes with a verified badge.

Verified Accounts Carry Additional Responsibility

Artists and organizers with verified accounts are public-facing representatives of Outing360's community. Any conduct that violates these guidelines will be treated more seriously for verified accounts, as it directly affects audience trust in the platform. Verification can be revoked for violations.

Honor Your Commitments

If you list an event, you are committing to your attendees. Cancellations must be communicated well in advance with full refunds where tickets were sold. Repeated no-shows, last-minute cancellations without justification, or failure to refund will result in account suspension.

Artist Profiles Must Be Your Own Work

Artists may only promote their own genuine performances and appearances. Do not create an artist profile to promote another artist without their explicit permission. Streaming rights, recordings, and setlist information must be accurate and you must have the rights to any content you share.

7. Prohibited Content & Behavior

These are absolute — no exceptions, no appeals.

The Following Are Immediately Bannable Offences

Any account found responsible for the following will be permanently removed with no right of appeal and may be referred to law enforcement.

Child exploitation or content involving minors inappropriately
Incitement to violence or terrorism
Financial fraud, event scams, or ticket theft
Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII)
Coordinated inauthentic behavior / bot networks
Promoting illegal drugs or trafficking at events
Repeated, targeted harassment of a specific individual
Impersonating Outing360 staff or official accounts

8. Enforcement & Consequences
